Triple D Equipment, Inc began its life when the DeLong family purchased the business from Smith Feed and Seed in 1990.   In the beginning there were only five employees. Then, in 1993, when the operations moved from Old New York Avenue to the current 5 acre location, the name was offically changed to Triple D Equipment, Inc.  Being a family owned and operated business, Triple D is run by the father and son,  C. Ray DeLong, President and Larry DeLong, Vice President.  Now in 2008, Triple D Equipment, Inc. has grown to 15 empoyees.   The product lines include: STIHL, Kubota, ASV, John Deere, Scag, Gravely and more STIHL Equipment. A firm believer in the community, the Triple D family supports, FFA, Volusia Cattleman's Association, the Farm Bureau, Deland Area Chamber of Commerce, Lake Helen Saddle Club, and Rafter V. Productions Bull Riding Events.  The DeLong father and son share the philosophy that the employees and the customers are the most important thing about their business.   As Larry DeLong states " There is no other job in the world that compares this one.  I am #2 in our business, and it's a good thing, because My Father is #1; and I still get work side by side with my father in this business, and this makes me the luckest man alive.
