Oilomatic® Saw Chains

This saw chain was specially developed for the smaller STIHL saws. The major advantage of the OILOMATIC^® STIHL PICCO^™ chain is its high degree of smoothness during operation. Although the STIHL PICCO^™ Micro^™ has a pitch of 3/8", the special shape of all component parts gives the OILOMATIC^® STIHL PICCO^™ a different profile (low profile) from other 3/8" pitch chains and is designed for use on smaller, less powerful chain saws.

OILOMATIC^® STIHL PICCO^™ Micro^™ Comfort 3 is the successor of the 3/8" PM1. It cuts faster and smoother and has a very high plunge cutting efficiency. PMC3 has a lower kickback tendency than 3/8" PM1.

The OILOMATIC^® STIHL RAPID^™ Micro^™ chain has a special cutter shape that reduces cutting friction to a minimum, ensuring fast cutting speed with good efficiency in any type of wood.

This chain is more forgiving in dirty conditions than full chisel (RS) chain types due to its cutter shape.

OILOMATIC^® STIHL RAPID^™ Micro^™ Comfort is a low vibration version of STIHL RAPID^™ Micro^™. This chain retains all the performance of STIHL RM, with the added benefit of lower vibration levels, to help reduce operator fatigue. Available only in .325" pitch.

OILOMATIC^® STIHL RAPID^™ Micro^™ Comfort 3 is the low kickback tendency version of STIHL RAPID^™ Micro^™ Comfort. RMC3 retains all the performance of STIHL RMC, with the added benefit of low kickback tendency, for less risk. Available only in .325" pitch. RMC3 replaces .325" RM2.

STIHL RAPID^™ Micro^™ 2 contains triple-humped tie straps to reduce kickback tendency. Other than the addition of triple-humped tie straps, RM2 is the same as RM and has very similar cutting characteristics. STIHL RAPID^™ Micro^™ 2 is an ideal chain for the occasional user.

STIHL RAPID^™ Micro^™ Full Skip is the skip pattern version of STIHL RAPID^™ Micro^™. There are two tie straps between every two cutting teeth, allowing better chip discharge and higher chain speed and less sharpening maintenance with more powerful saws and longer guide bars.

This full chisel chain is an extremely fast-cutting chain for the professional. The square-cornered cutter shape ensures minimum cutting friction for an extremely smooth clean cut in hard and frozen wood. The OILOMATIC^® STIHL RAPID^™ Super is best suited for higher power chain saws. Easily sharpened with a round file and file holder or with electric chain grinders.

NOTE: No longer available in 3/8" pitch, only .325" and .404".

STIHL RAPID^™ Super Comfort is the reduced vibration version of STIHL RAPID^™ Super. A redesigned cutter and tie strap design reduces vibration levels significantly while still utilizing the aggressive full chisel cutter design. RSC offers the same cutting characteristics to STIHL RAPID^™ Super with much lower vibration levels.

STIHL RAPID^™ Super Comfort 3 is the reduced vibration and low kickback tendency version of STIHL RAPID^™ Super. RSC3 is an aggressive full chisel chain, but has a single-humped drive link to reduce kickback tendency and the new cutter and tie strap design of RSC to reduce vibration levels when cutting. RSC3 also features excellent cutting and plunge cutting efficiency.

STIHL RAPID^™ Super Full Skip is the skip pattern version of STIHL RAPID^™ Super. There are two tie straps between every two cutting teeth, allowing better chip discharge and higher chain speed and less sharpening maintenance with powerful saws and long guide bars.

STIHL RAPID^™ Super L Full Skip is the skip pattern, square ground chisel version of STIHL RAPID^™ Super. There are two tie straps between every two cutting teeth, allowing better chip discharge, higher chain speed and less sharpening maintenance with powerful saws and long guide bars. Available in .404"” pitch, .063” gauge only.

This chain is particularly suitable for felling and bucking big timber with long guide bars (over 28" and longer).

Its special cutter geometry provides excellent control characteristics and very good chip flow, which help enhance cutting efficiency.

The Super L Klassic is a variation of the Klassic full chisel chain for special professional applications. It differs from the “normal” STIHL RAPID^™ Super Klassic in the way the cutter is ground. The cutter on this chain is square ground and has an “L” shape, hence the name Super “L.”

Sharpening of this type of chain is possible with our USG Grinder chisel bit blade or special square ground files.

STIHL RAPID^™ Super L Half Skip Klassic is the semi-skip pattern version of STIHL RAPID^™ Super L Klassic (RSLK). STIHL RAPID^™ Super L Half Skip Klassic alternates cutter spacing to create a chain with cutting and maintenance intensity characteristics between Full Skip (RSLFK) and regular pattern (RSLK).

OILOMATIC^® STIHL RAPID^™ Super L Full Skip Klassic is the full-skip pattern version of STIHL RAPID^™ Super L Klassic (RSLK). The RSLFK is assembled with each cutter followed by two tie straps instead of one with standard sequence chains.

Carbide tipping of the cutters makes 3/8" STIHL RAPID^™ Duro chain specially suitable for cutting dirty wood, treated wood, roots or railroad ties, which would quickly dull conventional chains. This chain must be resharpened with a formed diamond grinding wheel.

STIHL RAPID^™ Duro Rescue (RDR) is a new STIHL designed chain using the STIHL OILOMATIC^® principle. RDR surpasses the durability of former RDS in Rescue applications and has a higher efficiency when cutting wood. This chain is purpose-built for the demanding needs of fire and rescue specialists and therefore is for use by specially trained emergency services personnel only. RDR is the recommended chain for use on the MS 460 R STIHL Magnum^™ Rescue saw.

STIHL RAPID^™ Micro^™ Harvester is a specially designed and reinforced version of .404"" pitch saw chain. RMH is designed to withstand the stresses of mechanized tree harvesting. Designed for use on hydraulic harvester heads only.

STIHL RAPID^™ Micro^™ Harvester Special is a significantly reinforced version of the RMH Harvester chain. RMHS is only available in 2.0 mm (.080") gauge. Like RMH chain, RMHS is designed for use on hydraulic harvester heads only. This chain is designed to last longer than competing chains to minimize expensive harvester downtime. An extremely durable harvester chain.
