Rated 5 out of 5 by Hungry Wood-eating Beast! I tried two other chainsaws before trying this one and the search stopped there. I experienced horrible results with the Craftsman (died after 20 mins use) and Husqvarna (Weak) comperable models. The power difference was nothing short of amazing. This saw easily tore through any type of wood I put infront of it. I've gone through massive maple trees, oak, pine, and cedar. I've cut over 7 cord of wood now with no sign of slowing. Saw starts right up everytime and does the job. Well built and easily maintained. Air filter is easily accessable and so is gas and chain-oil compartments. Chain removal can be done in about 60 seconds. May 2, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Saw I purchased my saw (MS290) from Hud-Son on 4/24/13. They did a great job of going over the features of the saw as well as how to start it and maintain it. I have been using it for about a week now cutting about 2 cords of wood. So far I think this is a great saw. it starts easy and runs great! It cuts smooth and easy. For a home owner that wants to cut wood for heat and clear areas for what ever this is the saw for you. April 29, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by GREAT PRODUCT PURCHASED THE 16" FARM BOSS OVER A YEAR AGO. I HAVE USED IT MAINLY FOR CLEARING A NEW BUILDING SITE FOR A NEW HOME. IT PERFORMS GREAT ON HARD TO CUT TREES, SUCH AS BODOCK (OSAGE ORANGE). THE NEXT CHAINSAW I BUY WILL BE THE STIHL. AS A MATTER OF FACT MY SAW WAS STOLEN A FEW DAYS AGO. SO I'LL BE IN TO PICK UP ANOTHER SAW SOON. I RECOMMEND THIS SAW OVER ANY OTHER CHAINSAW. April 26, 2013

I had read a few reviews that talked about difficulty in starting, but so far I've followed the instructions offered by my salesperson and have found that this has not been an issue and has started with minimum effort. I've clearing a couple of size-able trees that have been blown over by the wind and have been very pleased with the performance of the farm boss. For the first time I look forward to putting up some firewood for next winter. April 24, 2013
